Book a Demo“Private” Profiles – Control Access
June 15, 2014 - by Robert Carter
When you think about how we discover and engage with experts, there are a lot of things to consider. Organizations have a wide range of experts, from media trained executives, to conference savvy thought leaders to internal subject matter experts. When we think about how we profile all of these personalities within an organization, it’s important to consider the degree of visibility, access and control that we need to provide when we profile them online.
Many of our customers who enjoy our platform have suggested that they would like to have profiles for a range of people in their organization from their most senior executives to subject-matter-experts. As we talked through the possibilities, it became clear that we could help our clients with a wide variety of uses from private member/employee directories, to investor relations and sales/customer support.
So that’s why we created “Private Profiles.” This latest software release from 0ur team at ExpertFile helps you leverage ALL of your experts in a way that works best for your organization.
Let’s take a look:
Enable “private profiles” for your experts.
With just a few clicks, Expert profiles can now be set as either “public” or “private”. You have the control to modify these access levels at any time. Private profiles will not appear in the ExpertFile’s Marketplace or discoverable by search engines like Google. Profiles can be accessed directly from the ExperFile Admin. Dashboard.
Make expert profiles available – on your terms.
Your private profiles can easily be shared with media, event organizers, or potential business partners and clients. However, private profiles contain an encrypted URL that requires recipients to enter in an access code to view. We’ve designed pre-defined email templates, that makes sharing “private profiles” super easy. Your private profiles will still maintain all of the robust inquiry workflow rules, alerts and “centralized inbox” to ensure you don’t miss any market opportunities.
Create a “private directory” of experts directly on your website
Your private profiles can also be easily integrated directly into your organization’s internal website or intranet using the ExpertFile REST API with no need for ongoing IT support.. Whether it is to create a “member only” directory for your association or as an internal expert finder site, organizations can now create a searchable private directory of these experts on a password protected section of their website. No longer will it be a challenge to locate and connect with internal subject matter experts.
Now a range of departments throughout your organization can use ExpertFile to get even more value of from your most important asset – your people. We would love to hear your thoughts on how you are making all of your experts more discoverable and engaging to a range of audiences. Let us know what you think.
